all in Gambling

For the eighth year in a row, America’s Best Racing is challenging some of the brightest minds in horse betting to come up with their top three picks for key races every weekend leading up to the 2024 Triple Crown and then continuing through the 2024 Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The handicappers face off in what we like to call the “Big-Race Showdown.”

The Grade 1, $7 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic brings together a full field of 14 plus one also eligible to Del Mar on Nov. 2, and includes 11 horses with Grade 1 or Group 1 stakes wins in their careers.

Once upon a time, in the year 2021, an unheralded Japanese-bred mare named Marche Lorraine arrived at Del Mar to compete in the $2 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff.

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships is the ultimate handicapping puzzle for horseplayers, and it’s especially appealing to those who adhere to the maxim of “bet a little to win a lot.”

The 14-race slate of Breeders’ Cup races brings together great horses from all regions in the U.S. as well as from overseas, which means that year after year, top-class runners with full résumés go off at odds far higher than they would in any other setting.

While some people fixate on the Kentucky Derby each year, my favorite horse racing event has long been the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. I just love rapid-fire elite races across two days with every million-dollar stakes another chance for a big score.

If you had a truly rancid opinion in one race, just put it behind you and move onto the next golden opportunity to cash a big ticket in about 30 minutes.
