Abscond, a Blame filly owned by Apogee Bloodstock and Mike Anderson Racing and trained by Eddie Kenneally, broke her maiden by a head at Ellis Park on July 21, 2019, and then shipped to Saratoga and ran second in a listed stakes in August.
Abscond next appeared at Woodbine for the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes on Sept. 15, a Challenge Series “Win and You’re In” qualifying race for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, and the filly posted a mild upset to earn an automatic bid in the Nov. 1 race.
