Amalfi Coast, a Tapizar filly, did not begin racing until age 3 and broke her maiden in her fourth career start on Aug. 2, 2019, at Woodbine. She finished second in an allowance race and then won two consecutive listed stakes for owner-breeder Terra Racing Stable and trainer Kevin Attard.
That set her up for a start in the Grade 2 Bessarabian Stakes on Nov. 24 at Woodbine, and Amalfi Coast swept to the front in midstretch en route to an impressive 2 1/2-length win at odds of 6-1.

Amalfi Coast won one of six starts in 2020, a listed stakes at Woodbine, and ran four times in graded stakes that year, with her best finish a third-place showing in the Grade 3 Seaway Stakes. She started her 2021 campaign with a third in the Grade 3 Whimsical Stakes at Woodbine in June before taking the Grade 2 Royal North Stakes on Aug. 1 at the Toronto track by a nose after rallying from off the pace.
Amalfi Coast finished third in her next start, the Grade 3 Seaway Stakes on Aug. 21. She rebounded to tally her third career graded stakes win with a one-length score at 0.85-1 odds in the Oct. 3 Grade 3 Ontario Fashion Stakes, held like every other one of her career starts at Woodbine.
