Caribou Club won the 2016 Laurel Futurity to earn his first career victory and finishing in the top three in each of his first two starts. He did not race again for seven months after his stakes win, returning in an allowance race at Keeneland in April 2017 and running second. After finishing fourth and third in stakes races in May and July, Caribou Club was dropped back down to allowance company and ran third in Auguct 2017 at Del Mar before an allowance win in October at Santa Anita Park.
Caribou Club won the 2016 Laurel Futurity to earn his first career victory and finishing in the top three in each of his first two starts. He won again in November at Del Mar before closing out his 3-year-old season with an unplaced finish in a stakes race at Fair Grounds on Dec. 30.
The City Zip gelding made his 4-year-old bow in the Henry S. Clark Stakes at Laurel Park on April 21 and rallied from seventh to post a three-quarter-length victory. He followed in June with his first graded stakes victory when closing from fifth in the Grade 2 Connaught Cup Stakes at Woodbine and pulling away to win by 1 1/2 lengths.
Caribou Club finished fourth in his next start, the King Edward Stakes at Woodbine, and then moved west to race in California again. He finished seventh, and then third in graded stakes heading into late fall 2018 but then posted a 1 ¼-length win in the Grade 2 Seabiscuit Handicap at Del Mar on Nov. 24.
Caribou Club won the Grade 3 Joe Hernandez Stakes in his 2019 bow, pulling away late to prevail by 1 ¼ lengths. He followed with a disappointing 13th-place finish in Dubai in the Al Quoz Sprint. Caribou Club received some time off after the Dubai trip and returned three months later with a fifth-place finish, beaten by only three lengths, in the Grade 1 Highlander Stakes at Woodbine.
The 5-year-old gelding regained his winning form with a clear score in the West Virginia House of Delegates Speaker's Cup Stakes in August at Mountaineer. Caribou Club rallied from off the pace to take charge in the stretch of the Grade 3 Baltimore/Washington International Turf Cup on Sept. 21 and held off fast-closing Frontier Market by a head for the win.
Caribou Club is a Glen Hill Farm homebred, and is trained by Tom Proctor.
