Chateau needed 16 starts to secure his first career victory, coming in second five times and third four times during the drought to start his career. He finally broke through with a front-running, one-length win in a sprint on a sloppy track in November 2018 at Parx Racing after trying his luck on dirt, turf, and synthetic surfaces. He followed with two more victories, winning a claiming race and starter-allowance race to begin a 2019 season in which he would post three wins, two seconds and a third in seven starts.
Chateau needed 16 starts to secure his first career victory, coming in second five times and third four times during the drought to start his career. In 2020 during his 5-year-old campaign, Chateau won an allowance-optional claiming race in March at Aqueduct and also ran second twice and third three times in eight races.
Chateau opened his 6-year-old season with a front-running, 1 ½-length win Jan. 18, 2021, at Aqueduct, and followed with another dominant effort when leading from start to finish to win the Grade 3 Tom Fool Handicap March 6 at Aqueduct. He then finished fourth in the Grade 1 Carter Handicap and second in the Grade 3 Runhappy Stakes.
Chateau returned to the winner's circle in his final start of 2021, when he won the Gravesend Stakes at Aqueduct on Dec. 19.
