Coach began her career with three consecutive victories, including a 2 1/2 length win in the Rags to Riches Stakes at Churchill Downs on Oct. 25. Florent Geroux rode her to victory that day, for trainer Brad Cox. She concluded her 2-year-old season with a third-place finish in the Golden Rod Stakes at Churchill on Nov. 28, at 6-1.

Beaten by 5 ¼ lengths and 7 ¼ lengths in her first two races as a 3-year-old in stakes at Oaklawn Park, the Commissioner filly did turn in an improved effort when third in the Grade 3 Fantasy Stakes on April 3, finishing 1 ¾ lengths behind winner Pauline’s Pearl. Coach earned a career-top 95 Equibase Speed Figure in the Fantasy.
After a ninth-place finish in the Grade 1 Longines Kentucky Oaks at Churchill on Apr. 30, Coach went to the sidelines for several months. She returned to the races with a two-length win in an allowance optional claiming race at Oaklawn on Dec. 17. In her 2022 debut on Jan. 8, she won the Pippin Stakes at Oaklawn by three lengths.
