Counterparty Risk ran fourth in her career debut Oct. 10, 2020 in a turf sprint at Belmont Park for trainer Chad Brown and owner Klaravich Stables, but the Australia filly made amends in her second race with a 1 ¼-length score Nov. 20 in a 1 1/16-mile race at Aqueduct. She closed powerfully from the back of the 10-horse field in the Lady Shamrock Stakes Dec. 26 at Santa Anita Park but came up a head short of winner Nasty.

Counterparty Risk is out of the unplaced Acclimation mare Anklet, a half-sister (same dam [mother], different sire [father]) to Grade 1 winner Sarah Lynx and two other stakes winners.
