Destino d’Oro, a 2-year-old Bolt d’Oro filly owned by Steve Landers Racing and trained by Brad Cox, won her debut impressively at Kentucky Downs on Aug. 31, 2024, taking a one-mile maiden by 2 ¼ lengths. She then competed for an automatic berth in the John Deere Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf Oct. 4 at Keeneland, and was sent off as the post-time favorite in the Grade 2 Jessamine Stakes Presented by Keeneland Sales with top turf rider Flavien Prat keeping the mount.

Destino d’Oro settled near the rear of the 11-horse field through the backstretch before sweeping wide for a stretch rally, and she nearly completed the task, settling for third in a three-horse photo finish behind May Day Ready and Totally Justified.
The filly was bred in Kentucky and is out of the Grade 1-placed, winning Lion Heart filly Heart of Destiny. She is from the family of Grade 1 winner Rosalind.
