After a third-place finish in an off-the-turf race in her career debut, Dogtag closed from off the pace to win the P. G. Johnson Stakes in August 2018 at Saratoga Race Course in her second race. She subsequently finished fourth in the Grade 2 Miss Grillo Stakes on yielding turf on Sept. 30 at Belmont Park in her final race as a 2-year-old.
Dogtag returned from a layoff of 7 1/2 months to win the Hilltop Stakes at Pimlico in her 3-year-old bow on the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes undercard.
