Emery, a More Than Ready filly bred in Kentucky, turned heads in her career debut Aug. 20, 2023, at Saratoga with a decisive 5 ¾-length win going six furlongs on a muddy track. She was then elevated to Grade 1 company in her next start, the one-mile Frizette Stakes Oct. 7 at Aqueduct, but finished fourth on a sloppy track in a race won by eventual champion juvenile filly Just F Y I.

After a break of over six months, Emery returned for her 3-year-old bow in a six-furlong allowance optional claiming race April 19 at Keeneland and romped by 5 ¼ lengths. She then tried stakes company again and made short work of four opponents in the June 9 Leslie’s Lady Stakes at Churchill Downs, winning by 3 ½ lengths as the odds-on favorite.

On July 4, Emery graduated to graded stakes winner by posting a three-quarter-length margin over Mystic Lake in the Grade 3 Victory Ride Stakes held at 6 ½ furlongs at Belmont at the Big A.

Emery's next race was a second-place finish in the Grade 1 Test Stakes going seven furlongs at Saratoga on Aug. 3, losing only to the favorite, Ways and Means.

Emery got back into the winner's circle in her next race, which came in the Grade 2 $350,000 Lexus Raven Run Stakes at Keeneland on Oct. 19. Sent off as the 1.25-1 favorite in a 10-horse field in the Raven Run, Emery stalked the pace, effortlessly moved to the front turning for home and drove clear in the final furlong to get the win by two lengths.

Emery is out of the multiple stakes-winning mare Athena, by Street Sense. Relatives on her dam’s pedigree include Grade 1 winner and millionaire Peeping Tom and Grade 2 Pennsylvania Derby winner Sun King.
