After running second in his career debut, Forza Di Oro rallied from midpack to win his second race by three-quarters of a length Oct. 26, 2019 going 1 1/16 miles at Belmont Park. He next made his stakes debut in the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes Dec. 7 at Aqueduct but perhaps was not quite ready for the class test as he tired and faded to finish eighth.
After running second in his career debut, Forza Di Oro rallied from midpack to win his second race by three-quarters of a length Oct. 26, 2019 going 1 1/16 miles at Belmont Park. He next made his stakes debut in the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes Dec. 7 at Aqueduct but perhaps was not quite ready for the class test as he tired and faded to finish eighth.
Subsequently sidelined for 10 months, Forza Di Oro returned from the long layoff to win a 1 1/16-mile allowance race by a neck Oct. 9, 2020 at Belmont Park. The Speightstown colt again tried stakes competition in the Grade 3, 1 1/8-mile Discovery Stakes Nov. 28 at Aqueduct and this time he aced the test. Forza Di Oro stalked the pace from third in the Discovery, reeled in pacesetter Monday Morning Qb in the stretch, and powered clear to win by 3 ¾ lengths.
Forza di Oro went to the sidelines again following his Discovery win, and did not return to the races until July 21, 2021 at Saratoga. He won a third-level allowance optional claiming race by three lengths, covering 1 1/8 miles in dirt in 1:49.47.
Grade 3-placed stakes winner Filare l’Oro, by Hard Spun, is the dam (mother) of Forza Di Oro as well as multiple graded stakes winner Silver Dust, by Tapit.
