Leave No Trace

Leave No Trace began her career with a 5 1/2-furlong maiden win at first asking at Saratoga Race Course on July 20, 2022, rating just off the pace and then powering to the lead into the stretch to win under wraps by 2 3/4 lengths for trainer Phil Serpe with Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard.

The impressive maiden win propelled Leave No Trace into another notable win in Saratoga's Grade 1, $300,000 Spinaway Stakes, the Spa meet’s signature stakes race for 2-year-old fillies. In the second start of her career, Leave No Trace raced just off the pace in a field of 10 fillies going seven furlongs, and again made her move to the lead coming into the home stretch. She extended her advantage through the final furlong to win by 1 1/2 lengths in a time of 1:24.03 and paid $31.60 to win.

Leave No Trace stretched out to a mile for the first time in her third start in the Grade 1 Frizette Stakes at the Belmont at the Big A meet on Oct. 2 but caught a sloppy track that day and settled for third.

Leave No Trace made her next start in the Grade 1 $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies on Friday, Nov. 4 and ran yet another good race. She pressed the pace throughout in the Juvenile Fillies and held on for second after breaking from post 12 in a 13-horse field.

Leave No Trace returned for her 3-year-old season in 2023 but went 0-for-4 during the calendar year.

After making her 4-year-old debut on Jan. 27, 2024 with an eighth-place finish in a Gulfstream Park allowance optional claiming race, Leave No Trace returned to stakes competition – and to the winner's circle – when she won the Grade 3 $175,000 Vagrancy Stakes in her next race going 6 1/2 furlongs at Belmont at the Big A on May 18.
