Next out, Masen stretched out to 1 1/2 miles in the Seek Again Stakes at Belmont Park on May 22. He won by five lengths as the overwhelming odds-on favorite. He was once again the odds-on choice in the Grade 3 Poker Stakes at Belmont on June 18, a race for which he cut back to a mile. He was headstrong in the early stages, as Flavien Prat restrained him off the early pace. He settled down within the opening half-mile and made his move to the front on the final turn. In the stretch, he kicked away and won handily.
