Olivia Maralda, a 2-year-old Kodiac filly, finished second in her first two career starts in Ireland and then was unplaced in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot in June 2022, but broke through in her next start at Newbury on July 21, winning a seven-furlong turf race by seven lengths. She then finished second in the Group 2 Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes at the Curragh in Ireland on Aug. 20.
The bay filly is out of the stakes-placed winning Fasliyev mare Yajala and is a half-sister (same dam [mother], different sire [father]) to stakes winner Evil Spell.
