Palazzi

Palazzi made his stakes debut in the Texas Turf Mile Stakes at Sam Houston Race Park early in his 3-year-old season on Jan. 31, 2021. After rating off the pace, he surged in the stretch to get up and win by a nose in a blanket finish. Declan Carroll had the winning mount for trainer Mark Casse.

Palazzi finished second in his graded stakes debut in the Grade 3 Kentucky Utilities Transylvania Stakes at Keeneland on Apr. 2, but then proceeded to race winless throughout the rest of his 3-year-old and four-year old seasons up through the end of 2022.

Palazzi got hot when racing at Woodbine as a 5-year-old in 2023. His winning streak started with an allowance optional claiming win on June 18 and continued with another allowance optional claiming victory at Woodbine on July 16. He then went up in class and won the first graded stakes victory of his career in his next start in the Grade 3 $150,000 Pattison Singspiel Stakes at Woodbine on Sept. 9. Sent off as the 4-1 third choice on the tote board in a field of seven in the Singspiel, Palazzi rallied from last-to-first to get up by a half a length in a 1 1/4-mile winning time of 2:02.26 over a turf course rated good.

Following a five-race losing streak against Graded takes competition in the late stages of 2023 through the early stages of 2024, Palazzi returned to the winner's circle o June 1, 2024, at Woodbine in the Grade 2 $175,000 Eclipse Stakes going 1 1/16 miles on Woodbine's all-weather main track. Palazzi trailed in the opening stages of the race and then launched a last to-first rally to get up in time to win by a half a length atop a seven-horse field.

Palazzi was bred in Kentucky by the sire Pioneerof the Nile out of the mare Kindle by Indian Charlie.
