Ready to Purrform, a Kitten’s Joy colt owned by Donegal Racing and trained by Brad Cox, won his career debut on turf at Ellis Park on Sept. 21, 2021, and was tested against stakes company in his next start, the Oct. 2 Laurel Futurity. He scored easily by 3 ¼ lengths and closed out his 2-year-old season with a seventh-place effort in a listed stakes at Del Mar.
Ready to Purrform, a Kitten’s Joy colt owned by Donegal Racing and trained by Brad Cox, won his career debut on turf at Ellis Park on Sept. 21, 2021, and was tested against stakes company in his next start, the Oct. 2 Laurel Futurity. The colt made his 3-year-old debut in the listed James W. Murphy Stakes at Pimlico on May 21, 2022, and nearly tallied a second stakes win, yielding to Joe by a neck at the finish after leading in the stretch. Following that, Ready to Purrform finished third in the Manila Stakes at Belmont Park.
Shipped to Saratoga for the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes, a Grade 2 race going one mile on Aug. 5, Ready to Purrform took the lead quickly and was not headed in a 1 ¼ length-victory with Joel Rosario aboard.
Ready to Purrform is out of the winning More Than Ready mare Elementar and is from the family of Canadian champion turf horse Grand Adventure.
