Sanenus won four of eight starts in her native Chile, including a Group 1 victory. She shipped to the United States to join the barn of Mike McCarthy and ran third in her stateside debut in August. The dark bay or brown daughter of Scat Daddy followed with another third-place finish before closing out her 4-year-old season with a runner-up finish in the Grade 3 Chilukki Stakes at Churchill Downs.
Sanenus scored a breakthrough victory in her 5-year-old bow when she seized command on the turn of the Grade 3 La Canada Stakes and surged well clear to a runaway victory.
