Secret Message, owned by Madaket Stables, ERJ Racing, Elayne Stable 5 and Bouchey Thoroughbred Ventures, broke her maiden in her second career start in early 2018 at Turfway Park and developed into a graded stakes caliber turf performer over the summer of her 3-year-old season, winning the Grade 3 Pucker Up Stakes at Arlington Park and placing in two other stakes races on grass, including a Grade 2 event in New York.

The Graham Motion trainee started her 4-year-old campaign off with two consecutive stakes wins, taking a listed stakes at Laurel Park in April and then winning the Grade 2 Nassau Stakes by three-quarters of a length on May 26. She was unplaced in her final three starts as a 4-year-old, two of which came against Grade 1 competition.
Secret Message returned from a 7 1/2-month layoff May 30 in the Grade 3 Old Forester Mint Julep Stakes at Churchill Downs against a field that included eight graded stakes winners. The 5-year-old Hat Trick mare rallied powerfully late to prevail in a thrilling blanket finish.
She won her 6-year-old debut in the Marie Krantz Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds on Jan. 16, her first win for trainer Brad Cox.
