Share the Ride, a Candy Ride gelding owned by Silvino Ramirez and trained by Antonio Arriaga, won three of his first seven starts in 2018 and 2019 before finishing third in his stakes debut at Monmouth Park.
He raced once more that year, finishing fourth, and then was campaigned regularly during 2020, making nine starts. The gelding rounded into his best form during the fall, scoring his first stakes win in the listed Mr. Prospector Stakes and then finishing third in the Grade 2 Vosburgh Stakes and second in the Grade 3 Bold Ruler Handicap.

After a third-place finish in the Grade 3 Toboggan Stakes at Aqueduct on Jan. 30, Share the Ride bounced back with a strong win in the Grade 3 General George Stakes at Laurel Park on Feb. 20. Victor Carrasco rode him to victory that day, for his first career graded stakes win.
