Speaktomeofsummer broke her maiden in her second career start, taking a one-mile maiden race on the Monmouth Park turf by three lengths in September 2019. The Summer Front filly, owned by Waterford Stable, graduated to stakes winner status in her next start, scoring a 17-1 upset in the Chelsey Flower Stakes on Nov. 3 at Aqueduct.

She did not return to racing for trainer Christophe Clement until June 20, 2020, and finished fourth in the Grade 3 Wonder Again Stakes at Belmont Park. In her next start, the Grade 2 Lake Placid Stakes on July 19 at Saratoga, Speaktomeofsummer rallied strongly through the stretch under Joel Rosario to earn her first graded stakes win by a head over Stunning Sky.
