Jockey Tiago Pereira began riding in his native Brazil in 1994 and over the next two decades plied his trade in several different countries around the world. He gained international attention in 2010 when he piloted Gloria de Campeao to victory in the $10 million Dubai World Cup, and four years after that he moved to the U.S. and joined the California jockey colony.

He gained international attention in 2010 when he piloted Gloria de Campeao to victory in the $10 million Dubai World Cup, and four years after that he moved to the U.S. and joined the California jockey colony.
Pereira gradually grew his business and won his first graded stakes in 2015 on Toowindytohaulrox in the Grade 3 Daytona Stakes. He won three graded stakes in 2017 and 2018 aboard Skye Diamonds and enjoyed his best year in the U.S. in 2019 when he topped $3.6 million in earnings.
In 2021, Pereira won his first Grade 1 in the prestigious $1 million TVG Pacific Classic at Del Mar on Tripoli.
