A new children’s book by former Major League Baseball player Chris Carpenter that tells the story of a real-life racehorse is set to be released in July with a percentage of the proceeds to be donated to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and providing sanctuary to retired racehorses.

As we all continue our retraining journey with our Thoroughbred Makeover potentials, there is still one thing that lingers on my mind … what discipline will I enter?

The Thoroughbred Makeover makes it so enjoyable and easily geared toward whatever your horses needs might be. Historically, I have competed in Dressage, Show Hunter, and Competitive Trail. However, this year the more I ride and train with Goldie, the more unsure I become about what I should choose. 

After an exciting Memorial Day holiday weekend of racing, the calendar takes a brief respite from marquee stakes while preparation ramps up for the 155th Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets and jam-packed Belmont Stakes Festival of Racing on June 9-10 at Belmont Park.

The first two races of the Triple Crown are in the books, and now racing fans have a three-week wait until the finale arrives with the 155th running of the Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets at Belmont Park. But the calendar is still chock full of top-class racing, with stakes action from coast to coast set for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Mage recently joined a long list of horses who have won the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve, notching his name on that familiar glass and guaranteeing that this colt by Good Magic out of Puca will live on the history of the sport.
