INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (Feb. 21, 2023)— The Jim Irsay Collection, based in Indianapolis, has acquired the saddle used on legendary racehorse Secretariat when he won the coveted Triple Crown of horse racing – the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes – 50 years ago in 1973.

After a weekend with three qualifying points preps for the 2023 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve, the activity slows down a bit for the upcoming holiday weekend which includes Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 20. Only one points prep is on the schedule – but it’s a big one. The Risen Star Stakes Presented by Lamarque Ford set for Saturday, Feb.
