After an eventful five weeks that began with one of the most exciting upsets in horse racing history, the final leg of the Triple Crown is fast approaching, with the 154th Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets set for Saturday, June 11, at Belmont Park.

After a busy Memorial Day weekend, horse racing coverage on TV, radio and livestreaming continues to build in anticipation of the Belmont Stakes Festival, a three-day smorgasbord of racing at Belmont Park starting Thursday, June 9 and ending Saturday, June 11 with the 154th running of the Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets.

The second jewel of the 2022 Triple Crown is in the books, and in terms of national media attention, a pause is in order after Early Voting’s win last Saturday in the Preakness Stakes.

The Preakness Stakes serves as the middle jewel of the Triple Crown but it also has evolved into a destination event for sports and music fans across the country — half elite day of horse racing, half festival.

Almost two weeks ago, the 148th Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve brought a sense of normalcy and high fan interest back to Thoroughbred racing, with TV ratings up from a pandemic-altered 2021 and attendance at Churchill Downs back at full capacity as well.
