Laffit Pincay III grew up with horse racing as a constant companion as the son of Hall of Fame jockey and California racing icon Laffit Pincay Jr. He’s maintained that connection by forging a career in broadcasting as part of NBC Sports’ horse racing team.

The price is a world record for a horseshoe, more than doubling the prior mark of $37,000, according to Lelands.com president Mike Heffner.
