Butch Reid took out his trainer’s license in 1985 and has amassed more than 750 wins through January 2019. Reid is based at Parx, but his biggest wins came at Churchill Downs in the 2011 Breeders’ Cup Marathon with Afleet Again, at Keeneland in the 2020 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies with Vequist, and at Saratoga Race Course in the Grade 1 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap with Poseidon’s Warrior in 2012. Reid has 47 stakes wins and 12 graded stakes victories on his résumé through Nov. 6, 2020.
