Zaajel burst on the scene impressively in her debut, breaking her maiden by 7 1/4 lengths at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 20. She stalked the pace early on, and ran away from the field impressively. She covered 7 furlongs in 1:23.81, with Luis Saez in the saddle.
In her 3-year-old debut, Zaajel won the Grade 3 Forward Gal Stakes at Gulfstream on Jan. 30. With that win, she earned ten points on the road to the Grade 1 Longines Kentucky Oaks on Apr. 30.

Zaajel is by 2007 Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense, out of Asiya, who was stakes-placed twice.
