Vergara

Vergara began her career as a 2-year-old in September of 2021 and won her maiden race in her second outing in a 1 1/8-mile turf race at Laurel. She immediately followed that up on Nov. 28 with a stakes victory at Aqueduct in the 1 1/16-mile Tepin Stakes, which she won by 3/4 of a length in a time of 1:44.50.

After a one-race foray onto a synthetic surface at Turfway was unsuccessful to begin her 3-year-old season, Vergara returned to the grass on May 20,2022 in the Hilltop Stakes at Pimlico where she recorded a third-place finish. She followed that up with a fourth-place finish in the Grade 2 Wonder Again Stakes at Belmont and a runner-up finish in the Grade 3 Ontario Colleen Stakes at Woodbine.

Her breakthrough win of her 3-year-old season came in the $500,000 Exacta Systems Dueling Grounds Oaks at Kentucky Downs, grinding out a win by a head going 1 5/16 miles on the grass and taking home a big payday.

Vergara waited a full year to get back into the winner's circle again, and when she did, it was back at her favorite layout at 1 5/16 miles at Kentucky Downs when she won her first career graded stakes in the Grade 3 $900,000 Aristocrat Ladies Marathon Stakes on Sept. 9, 2023, where she topped a six-horse field by three-quarters of a length after pressing the pace throughout.

Vergara is a bay filly by Noble Mission out of the mare Figure of Beauty by Street Cry. She is trained by Graham Motion and owned by Gary Broad.
