California-bred Sell the Dream debuted at Santa Anita Park on June 10, 2022, and won a five-furlong turf sprint by one length after taking control of the early pace. The chestnut Munnings filly then tried dirt and moved up to stakes company against fellow Cal-breds and finished third in a 5 ½-furlong sprint at Del Mar before returning to turf and stretching out in distance in the Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf. She finished a solid second behind Comanche Country in that one-mile race on Sept. 10.

Sell the Dream next matched up against Comanche Country again in the one-mile, Grade 3 Surfer Girl Stakes at Santa Anita on Oct. 9. She took a brief lead in the homestretch only to yield to that rival by a half-length in the final strides.
Sell the Dream is out of the winning Run Away and Hide mare Enayat Alsalam, who is a half-sister (same dam [mother], different sire [father]) to millionaire Grade 1 winner Melatonin.
