Gala Brand made a dazzling first impression on the racetrack when closing from 14 lengths off the pace in a 5 ½-furlong turf sprint to win going away by 2 ¼ lengths Aug. 3, 2023, at Saratoga Race Course. She was purchased by co-owner Arnmore Thoroughbreds for a modest $30,000 at the 2022 Keeneland September yearling sale.

Trainer Christophe Clement thought highly enough of the Violence filly’s debut win that he tested her next stretching out to 1 1/16 miles in the Grade 3 With Anticipation Stakes against males. Gala Brand proved up to the challenge rallying from last of seven to win by a half-length under Jose Ortiz for her second win in as many starts.
Gala Brand was produced by the Lord of England mare Olorda, a Group 1-placed group stakes winner in France and a multiple graded stakes winner in the U.S.
