Life Talk earned her first lifetime win in a 2-year-old maiden race going one mile at Saratoga in her second career start on Aug. 31, 2023. From there she went up against stakes company in the Grade 1 Frizette Stakes at Belmont at the Big A and finished third, and then was subsequently fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Santa Anita.

Life Talk concluded her 2-year-old season on a winning note with a victory in the Grade 2 $250,000 Demoiselle Stakes at Aqueduct on Dec. 2. Racing at the same 1 1/8 distance of the following spring's goal in the Kentucky Oaks, Life Talk dominated the field in the Demoiselle as the favorite and won off by 3 3/4 lengths at the finish.
Life talk is trained by Todd Pletcher. She was bred in Kentucky by the sire Gun Runner out of the mare Touchy Feely by Bernardini.
