Tiztastic

Tiztastic was unplaced in his career debut July, 27, 2024, in a sprint race on the main track at Saratoga Race Course. Trainer Steve Asmussen then tried him on grass for his second start Aug. 29 at Kentucky Downs and he rallied from off the pace to win the 6 ½-furlong turf race by 1 ¾ lengths.

Next up was a stakes test in the Kentucky Downs Juvenile Mile Stakes 10 days later and the dark bay or brown colt by Tiz the Law closed from seventh to prevail by a neck.

Tiztastic returned to the main track for the Grade 3 Street Sense Stakes Oct. 27 at Churchill Downs, where he again closed from seventh and passed multiple horses late before ultimately finishing second, beaten by five lengths by winner Sovereignty. He ended his 2024 campaign with a third-place finish in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs on Nov. 30.

Tiztastic made his first start as a 3-year-old in the Grade 3 $1 million Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park on Jan. 25, 2025, and finished third, beaten 2 1/2 lengths in a nine-horse field going 1 1/16 miles. With that third-place finish, Tiztastic earned six qualifying points on the Road to the 2025 Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve and increased his overall point total to 14 points. 

Tiztastic was produced by the unraced Tapit mare Keesha, who also is the dam (mother) of Grade 2-placed stakes winner Interpolate.
