Gary Hartunian’s Rockingham Ranch broke through to horse racing’s elite level in the 2017 Breeders’ Cup World Championships with Stormy Liberal’s win in the Turf Sprint and then Roy H’s score in the TwinSpires Sprint. Rockingham was the sole owner of Stormy Liberal in 2017, who won at odds of 30.20-1. It owns Roy H in partnership with David Bernson. Both horses are trained by Peter Miller.
Hartunian, who works in commercial real estate, entered the sport in the early 2010s after enjoying trips to Del Mar. He also owns other horses in several partnerships.
