Vincent S. Scuderi

Vincent Scuderi serves as president of his third-generation family business, Van Blarcom Company, in Brooklyn, N.Y. VBC, as it is now known, manufactures child-safety latches as well as other products for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

Scuderi first caught the racing bug as a teenager attending harness races with his father and grandfather at Roosevelt Raceway and bought his first racehorse a few years later. Today he obtains most of his horses from claiming races but is also a small-scale breeder, having bred both of his most successful horses, multiple graded stakes winners Dads Caps and Paulassilverlining, who is headed for the 2016 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
