all in Breeders' Cup

Every year, the Breeders’ Cup attracts a strong contingent of international raiders to challenge North America’s best horses in a series of lucrative races. Among the 14 Breeders’ Cup events, none attract a stronger international presence on a year-to-year basis than the $4 million, Grade 1 Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf.

Eight of the best dirt runners in the world were entered Oct. 31 in the $6 million Longines Breeders' Cup Classic, but two stand out above the rest: the undefeated odds-on morning-line favorite Flightline and his top challenger Life Is Good.

Or better yet, Flightline vs. Life Is Good.

When Breeders’ Cup put the “World Championships” in their name, they weren’t lying. Every year, horses from around the world flock to the host track to take their shot at taking home the trophy in their respective races.

As always, there are some Breeders’ Cup regulars and many new faces to North America coming via turbo jet airliner from Europe and Japan, with this year’s group including a Breeders’ Cup Mile winner from a couple of years ago and multiple horses who hit the board in other Breeders’ Cup races.

NBC Sports will provide comprehensive coverage of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships this Friday and Saturday at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky.

While the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic is undoubtedly the anchor of Breeders’ Cup Saturday and the marquee race of the World Championships, none of the 14 races consistently impacts the next seven months of the sport as much as the FanDuel Juvenile Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance.
