all in Breeders' Cup

After a Triple Crown season that provided plenty of excitement but no outright 3-year-old superstar, the division heats up again starting this Saturday at the Jersey Shore when Monmouth Park hosts its signature race.

Each week a panel of media members, horseplayers, and Breeders’ Cup World Championships officials release a poll tabulating their votes on the nation's top contenders for the 2022 Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Arguably the biggest weekend of July on the North American horse racing calendar is coming up, featuring a marquee race for 3-year-olds at Monmouth Park that also serves as a “Win and You’re In” for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic, the second weekend of one of the two premier summer race meets in the U.S., and the opening weekend for the other.

The $1 million, Grade 1 TVG.com Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park isn’t part of the Triple Crown, but it often seems like a summer extension of the spring classics.
