all in Breeders' Cup

Owner Godolphin and British trainer Charlie Appleby sent three horses to Woodbine for Grade 1 assignments over the weekend, on Sunday 2-year-olds Albahr and Wild Beauty

A big weekend of racing at Woodbine continues on Sunday with the $400,000, Grade 1 Natalma Stakes. The race is named after the dam of the great Canadian-bred racehorse and stallion Northern Dancer.

When nine talented 2-year-old Thoroughbreds face off in Sunday’s Grade 1 Summer Stakes at Woodbine, there will be a lot more on the line than the winner’s share of the $400,000 purse.

For the fifth year in a row, America’s Best Racing is challenging some of the brightest minds in horse betting to come up with their top three picks for key races every weekend leading up to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The handicappers face off in what we like to call the “Big Race Showdown.”

Saturday’s $1 million, Grade 1 Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes is annually one of the signature races at Woodbine along with the Queen’s Plate, Woodbine Oaks, and Pattison Canadian International Stakes.
