For the fifth year in a row, America’s Best Racing is challenging some of the brightest minds in horse betting to come up with their top three picks for key races every weekend leading up to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The handicappers face off in what we like to call the “Big Race Showdown.”

Although the $400,000, Grade 2 Suburban Stakes July 3 at Belmont Park drew just six entrants, this Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” prep for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic is still likely to prove to be a very exciting race because of two horses –

Graded stakes at a distance of 1 1/4 miles or more are on dirt are rare, but they do play an important role in preparing horses for some of the sport’s most important races.

The path to the 2021 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Del Mar on Nov. 5-6 is a road with plenty of ups and downs as talented racehorses vie for a spot in one of 14 championship races and $31 million in purses and awards.

An enjoyable extended weekend of horse racing is just around the corner as the U.S. celebrates Independence Day on Sunday, July 4. Several tracks are hosting important races, highlighted by a trio of Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series “Win and You’re In” preps.
