The 1 1/16-mile race annually attracts a quality field, but this year’s renewal is above-average even by the Juvenile’s lofty standards.

The 40th running of the Grade 1, $6 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic brings together a big field of 12, with nine entering the race off of group/graded stakes victories.
