all in Triple Crown

Racing at Keeneland during the summer? In a normal year such an occurrence would be unprecedented, but 2020 has been far from a normal year. Prompted by COVID-19, the inaugural summer meet at Lexington’s historic racetrack will feature 10 graded stakes races over the course of three days, led by the $600,000 Grade 2 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes on Saturday.

Although the spring meeting at historic Keeneland Race Course was pushed back to an abbreviated five days in July, its signature prep for the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve remains just that.

The 2020 Road to the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve continues its unprecedented summer tour with a stop this Saturday at a historic, picturesque locale that’s usually reserved for early spring – Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky.

Like many other areas of life, 2020 is anything but normal for the sport of horse racing. Iconic Keeneland Race Course will hold its first-ever July meet this week featuring many stakes from its canceled April meet, including the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes. Saturday’s race features several 3-year-olds hoping to earn a place in the Sept.

Each week members of the media around the country vote on the nation's top contenders on the Triple Crown and Kentucky Oaks trails in the NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll. Find out the latest 2020 top 3-year-old rankings below.
