Winning the first jewel of the Triple Crown takes both elite athletic ability and a strong mind.

The $1.25 million Grade 1 Longines Kentucky Oaks is the marquee race for 3-year-old fillies in the country.

Each week, members of the media around the country vote on the nation's top contenders on the Triple Crown trail in the NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll.
