Dallas Stewart is a fixture on the Kentucky, Louisiana and New York racing circuits who launched his career as an understudy to Hall of Fame conditioner D. Wayne Lukas. Stewart spent 12 years working for Lukas and was responsible for such champions as Lady's Secret, Kentucky Derby winner Thunder Gulch and Serena's Song. Other top stakes horses he has conditioned include Dollar Bill, Macho Again, Silverfoot, Kimberlite Pipe, and Nasty Storm.

Since training on his own, Stewart won the 2000 training title at Keeneland and has finished second twice in the Kentucky Derby (Commanding Curve, 2014 and Golden Soul, 2013) and the Preakness Stakes (Tale of Verve, 2015 and Macho Again, 2008). He also trained 2006 Kentucky Oaks winner Lemons Forever and 2001 Breeders' Cup Distaff winner Unbridled Elaine. Stewart has also trained two daughters of Lemons Forever, Unbridled Forever and Forever Unbridled, to graded stakes wins.
Forever Unbridled became a multiple Grade 1 winner under Stewart in 2016 and continued her form in 2017, winning the Breeders' Cup Distaff at Del Mar.
In 2019 Stewart won the Grade 1 Ashland Stakes with Kentucky Oaks hopeful Out for a Spin.
