Dean Delivers

Dean Delivers won his career debut outing as a 2-year-old on June 26, 2021 at Gulfstream Park, and later added two more allowance wins at Gulfstream Park as a 3-year-old in the summer of 2022 while in-between recording a second-place finish in the Grade 3 Swale Stakes on Feb. 5, 2022. Dean Delivers attempted a stretch out to a route in the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream Park on March 5, 2022, but settled for fifth and mostly concentrated on sprints from there on out. He concluded his 2022 campaign with a runner-up finish in the Grade 2 Mr. Prospector Stakes at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 31.

Up until May 20 of 2023, Dean Delivers had never won a stakes race. That all changed when he was victorious in the $90,000 Big Drama Stakes for Florida-breds going seven furlongs at Gulfstream Park. In the following race, Dean Delivers then earned his first career Graded stakes in with a victory in Gulfstream's Grade 3 $100,000 Smile Sprint Stakes on July 1. Sent off as the 6-5 favorite in an eight-horse field in the Smile Sprint, Dean Delivers took charge from the beginning and went wire-to-wire with a 2 1/4-length win.

Dean Delivers is trained by Michael Yates. He was bred in Florida by the sire Cajun Breeze out of the mare Slick and True by Yes It's True.
