It took seven tries, but Glynn County finally broke his maiden at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 12, 2020. He won a one-mile maiden special weight by two lengths, rallying from the back of the pack to win going away under Irad Ortiz. Jr. That win inspired him to try the Grade 2 Hill Prince Stakes at Belmont Park on Oct. 18, where he was sixth.

In the first half of 2021, Glynn County won two allowance races in Kentucky, winning at Keeneland on Apr. 11 and Churchill Downs on June 11. He was entered in the Grade 1 United Nations Stakes at Monmouth Park on July 17, and finished fifth, beaten 3 3/4 lengths.
