Lady Radler

After finishing second in her career debut sprinting at Churchill Downs in June 2022, Lady Radler won back-to-back starts in six-furlong races at Colonial Downs in late summer. The Kantharos filly closed out her 3-year-old season by finishing second and then third in listed stakes at Keeneland and Tampa Bay Downs, both at six furlongs as well.

She began her 4-year-old campaign with a dull effort on turf, but then won her first stakes race, the six-furlong Goldfinch Stakes, at Prairie Meadows on May 13. She then won a turf allowance at Hawthorne, endured a rough trip and faded in the Lady Erie Stakes on an all-weather track at Presque Isle Downs, and then, in her tenth career start, put forth a career-best effort to upset the Grade 3 Dogwood Stakes Sept. 23 going six furlongs on dirt at Churchill Downs. The filly won by 2 ¾ lengths under Jesus Castanon at odds of 23.20-1.

Lady Radler was bred in Kentucky and is out of the mare Sally Bowles, who won a Group 2 stakes in her home country of South Africa. That mare also produced Lady Radler’s half-sister Consumer Credit, a Grade 3 winner and earner of over $360,000 in the U.S.
