Malavath enjoyed a nice 2-year-old campaign in 2021 in which she posted two wins, two seconds, and one third in five starts. The Mehmas filly won the Group 2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte at Chantilly and was runner-up by a half-length to Pizza Bianca in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

In her 3-year-old debut, Malavath won the Group 3 Prix Imprudence by 1 ½ lengths April 7 at Chantilly before an unplaced finish in the QIPCO One Thousand Guineas at Newmarket. Unplaced in Group 1 races in her next two starts, but beaten by less than three lengths in each of them, Malavath followed with a second-place finish in the Group 1 Qatar Prix de la Foret Presente Par Education Above All on Oct. 2 at Longchamp.
Malavath was produced by the New Approach mare Fidaaha, a full sister (same dam [mother], same sire [father]) to graded stakes winner Ceisteach.
