After an impressive first-level allowance win at Churchill Downs on May 1, 2021, Masqueparade went off as the 2.20-1 favorite in the Grade 3 Ohio Derby at Thistledown on June 26. In a hard-fought stretch battle, he prevailed by a half-length, to earn his first career graded stakes win.
Masqueparade was bred by Brereton T. Jones in Kentucky, and was sold for $180,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale in 2019.
