Miss Dracarys

Miss Dracarys made a nice first impression when winning her career debut Dec. 4, 2020, at Aqeuduct, where she closed from off the pace to win a three-quarter-mile turf sprint by a length at 23.60-1 odds.

Unplaced in her first three races in 2021, Miss Dracarys regained her winning form when stretching out in distance for the first time at Monmouth Park and posting a 6 ¼-length romp in a 1 1/16-mile allowance race. In her final start in 2021 as a 3-year-old, Miss Dracarys finished third in the Winter Memories Stakes at Aqueduct while beaten by three-quarters of a length by Plum Ali.

In 2022, Miss Dracarys won two of her four starts and landed her first stakes win with a front-running, one-length victory in the Forever Together Stakes at Aqueduct.

Returning from a nine-month layoff and making her graded stakes debut in the Grade 2 Dance Smartly Stakes Aug. 20, 2023, at Woodbine, the bay Malibu Moon mare again led every step of the way en route to a breakthrough one-length score.

The word dracarys translates to “dragonfire” in the High Valyian dialect made famous in the Game of Thrones novels and television series, specifically when Daenerys Targaryen commanded her dragon to breathe fire.
