Oceanic

Oceanic was winless in six starts during his first season of racing as a 3-year-old in 2020 with a runner-up finish in his debut at Tampa Bay Downs his best race while running exclusively on dirt. He showed improvement with a switch to grass to begin his 4-year-old campaign, winning two of his first three races before a close fourth, beaten by a half-length, May 16 at Churchill Downs in his final race of the year.

Oceanic emerged as a stakes-quality racehorse in 2022, finishing third in the William Garrett Stakes in July at Horseshoe Indianapolis and then two starts later winning the Woodford reserve Da Hoss Stakes Sept. 6 at Colonial Downs. The bay Constitution gelding next finished second to elite turf sprinter Golden Pal in the Grade 2 Woodford Stakes Presented by FanDuel Oct. 8 at Keeneland.
