Prevalence made his career debut in a maiden special weight race at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 23, 2021, on the Pegasus World Cup day undercard. He was extremely impressive, winning by 8 1/2 lengths while not being seriously asked by jockey Tyler Gaffalione in the stretch.

Prevalence's next start came in a first-level allowance race at Gulfstream on Mar. 11, where he was the overwhelming 1-10 favorite in the field of six. He lived up to expectations that day, winning by three lengths in a time of 1:35.82. He subsequently unplaced in bith the Wood Memorial Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets and the Pat Day Mile Stakes presented by LG&E and KU on the Kentucky Derby undercard.

Prevalence returned from a nine-month layoff in a seven-furlong sprint Feb. 5 at Gulfstream Park, where a bad start hampered his chances in a nonthreatening fifth-place finish. He bounced back nicely in his second start as a 4-year-old, pressing the pace in a one-mile race at Gulfstream before surging away to a 4 ¾-length romp.

Tested back against stakes competition April 9 in the $300,000 Commonwealth Stakes at Keeneland. The Medaglia d’Oro colt pressed heavily favored Nashville from his outside flank, took over entering the stretch, and powered to a convincing victory in the Grade 3 race for his first stakes score.

Prevalence is a homebred owned by Godolphin LLC. He is a half-brother to two stakes winners: Libreta, who won the 2016 New York Stallion Stakes at Aqueduct, and Esthidaaf, winner of the 2019 Group 3 UAE 2000 Guineas Stakes Sponsored by Al Naboodah Ashok Leyland Partnership at Meydan.
